Swansea University has launched the National Network for Innovation in Sport & Health, an exciting initiative supported by Swansea Bay City Deal and local health boards, aimed at driving innovation across life sciences, health, and sports sectors for the benefit of Wales and beyond.
The network is a collaborative space for organisations, healthcare providers, tech innovators and other partners to come together, share expertise and develop impactful solutions to improve public health and support vulnerable populations. By connecting sport-tech, med-tech, and healthcare, the network helps partners share resources and knowledge, creating new opportunities to address key health issues facing our communities.
Supported by rugby legend Alun Wyn Jones, the network brings together academia, industry, and the NHS to address real-world challenges and foster innovation. This initiative aligns with Swansea University’s vision and ARCH’s mission to foster a healthier, more resilient Swansea Bay City Region, driving community health, economic growth, and long-term wellbeing.
